Turnouts

The sortiment has four electrical turnouts.The left and the right turnout feature the same length either of 718 mm with 15°R or 481 mm with 15°R.

The turnouts of KATO have a high reliability and durability. Adverse the other systems, KATO has a speciality. The electrical turnouts haven't three cables (as alternating current), but the KATO turnouts have two-pole cable direct current pole reversal basis.

For the first switch you need a detector,because you must transfer the alternating current of the transformer to a direct current.

Connection with turnout switch

The turnouts of KATO provided by a two-pole connection cable with direct current (DC). With the help of the KATO turnout-switch, the turnouts are electrically placed. Use exclusively this switch. With this product, you have troublefree enterprise.

KATO-turnouts are magnet article with one coil and are represented by pole reversal with direct current. Impulse contact switches don't therefore for magnet article with two coils other producers for example "Fleischmann", "Minitrix", Arnold etc. to be used!

WARNING: It's necessary, that a detector is installed between the transformer and the turnout, before you connect the turnout or the turnout switches on the transformer.




Detector for turnout switch

The detector (Art.No. 78503) will be connected on the corresponding exit of the transformer (brown/white). This product changed the alternating current of the transformer in direct current.
