Instruction sheet for KATO Power Pack

  1. After attached the connection cable of the connector power supply unit at the back side of the Power Pack, put the protective into the wall outlet. The control lamp of the Power Pack shines now.
  2. Put the speed controller to "STOP" and the direction control switch to "Break" (neutral position)
  3. Connect now the cable (blue/white) of the UNITRACK feeder track with the white traction current - connection bush on the back side of the power pack. If you use tracks of other producers, use the connection cable in the scope of delivery, in order to attch it at the Power Pack and at the track (Abb.1). Please consider that both the cable of the UNITRACK feeder track and the contained cable in the scope of delivery are provided with a special plug, which can be pushed direct by the Plug-In. The raster-claw shows at the attachment upward (Abb.2). Around the connector again to the raster-claw must be raised. (Abb.2)
  4. Now the locomotive up and set the direction control switch to postion "FORWARD" or "RESERVE".
  5. If you now the speed controller toward "FULL" (Max. speed) to turn up ,the train sits down in action and accelerates. The optimal speed area is green characterized in the controller.
  6. The snatching links at the side of the Power Packs became for the simple and fast connection of the KATO turnout switcher (Art.No. 78500) and supply adapter for magnet article with two coil (Art.No. 78522) (additionally cable 78501 - not contain in the scope of delivery) develops. Abb.3 shows the attachement of the turnout switcher. For further instructions you can read the guidance of the turnouts switcher.

Direction: At short circuit and electrical surge controll lamp expires.

In case of a train derailing or excess voltage the Power Pack activated the safety function and the voltage supply is disconnected. After removal of the disturbance you press the red reset-switcher on the back side of the Power Pack, about to repair the voltage supply.




      
WARNING!
In the case of a train derailing, please disconnecting the power plug of the Power Pack (transformer) and tracks the models. If the  control lamp goes out, as for example in case of short circuits or excess voltage (if e.g. too many locomotives at one time or many coachs with interior lighting to be operated), disconnect the power plug and repair the disturbance or the account.

Safety instructions
  • In the case of failure or formation of smoke, disconnect the power plug to the connection bush.
  • Avoiding overheating by clothes or other things to put over the Power Pack.
  • Please don't contact the equipment with wet hands and don't plunge the equipment into the water.
  • If the equipment isn't used, please always remove the connector power supply unit.
  • In the case of failures contacted a stockist. Please don't open or repair the equipment. It could be dangerous.

The KATO Power Pack is designed for scale N and H0 trains at direct current-analog-systems. The product has 22.5VA. For the safety and about your locomotives or coaches to protect, the control lamp indicate short circuit and electrical surges. After removal of the disturbance you can continued the handling with the reset switcher.
